A Bristol based award-winning dance school is seeking support from locals to help dancers compete in national semi-final events scheduled for June in Dallas, Texas.
An online fundraiser seeks to raise $1000.00 to help offset costs of the trip to Dallas for the Buck or Die National Semi -Finals Dorian Fisher, Assistant Director and Dane Teacher of the Dancing Divas of Bristol School dance school told Lower Bucks Source on Tuesday.
Fisher said the dance school is doing all it can to give area kids a healthy outlets of expression and sometimes costs step in the way, so to speak.
Families are still rebounding from the Pandemic she said so we’re hoping the surrounding community could give us a hand.
Fisher said the total cost of financing the two-day out of state tip to the competition will fall into the $10,000 range.
So far, about half of the $1000 sought has been raised, said the Fisher.
Our dancers and teachers work very hard preparing for these competitions and will be doing the same to raise funds for the trip with bake sales, a 50/50 raffle and other traditional ways non-profits raise funds, Fisher said.
Williams waived the registration fees for the Dancing Divas and received free passes for the dancers to attend the camp, the dance school said.
Hopefully with a little help from our community it will be Dallas here we come, for our dance family of 23 said Fisher
The trip to Dallas is scheduled for June.
