The search for a new Bristol Borough School District Superintendent will commence this week.

The search will be handled by the Bucks County Intermediate Unit School Board President David Chichilitti told Lower Bucks Source recently.

The IU will handle the initial process of collecting applicants information for the position, Chichilitti said, and once that’s completed the board will take the lead on reviewing potential candidates.

Currently Dr Thomas Shaffer is serving as the interim Superintendent as he replaced Dr Rose Minniti in October.

He was appointed by the board to be the acting superintendent for the remainder of the 2021/22 academic year.  By law he can only serve for one year in the “acting” role.

A name suggested by multiple sources in the past is, Kelli Rosado, currently the Principal of Snyder – Girotti Elementary School.

Rosado has worked in the district for a number of years in several different capacities.

“Kelly is definitely someone who the board holds in high regard,” Chichilitti said.

“She’s a proven leader and we hope she applies like many other qualified individuals for the position” he said.

Additional information about the search process will be announced at the next board meeting scheduled for March 10, school board officials said.
