Bristol Township Council honored a Harry S. Truman Senior for academic excellence and achievement, who is truly a rising star and going places, Lower Bucks Source discovered.

Hazel Pringle, Bristol Township School District Student Scholastic, was awarded a Scholastic Commendation for her outstanding achievements, academic excellence and leadership.

Pringle has been heavily recruited by colleges and universities, and is also a dual enrollment student attending Bucks County Community College while taking her two remaining courses at Bristol Township School District’s Cyber Academy.

She was recently accepted to multiple universities for Fall 2026, including the University at Buffalo, Temple University, West Chester University, and Montclair State University. Each university offered Pringle significant financial aid packages.

  • The University at Buffalo awarded the Provost Scholarship, a merit-based award totaling $72,000, valued at $18,000 per year for up to four years. This scholarship recognizes top applicants for academic achievement and leadership potential.
  •  West Chester University also offered admission to its Pre-Business: Management – Business Process and Data Analytics concentration. In its official acceptance letter, the university described its incoming class as one of the most academically gifted, committed, and visionary cohorts accepted, and noted that students will add an important voice and perspective to campus life.

Pringle was also selected as a College Board BigFuture Ambassador for the Spring 2026 semester, where she will promote college access resources and scholarship awareness among peers.

Last year she was selected for the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS). Co-founded by Alfred Nobel’s grand-nephew, NSHSS is inspired by the Nobel Prize mission to support academic achievement and the world’s betterment. NSHSS pursues this mission by connecting members to scholarships, college fairs, internships, career and leadership opportunities, partner discounts, and more.

Pringle officially serves as an NSHSS Ambassador and has been actively involved in student leadership, fundraising initiatives, and community engagement throughout high school.

What makes Pringle truly interesting is that she devised and sent out press releases to media organizations who cover the school district announcing the scholastic commendation awarded by Council Thursday night.

Pringle in a Wednesday afternoon call said she’s made up her mind and will attend Temple University next fall who also offered her a formidable student aid package, she said, where she’ll major in public health.

Pringle, who is a woman of faith, said the COVID Pandemic deeply influenced her choice of major. She wants to study the disease’s spread and impact on the public.

She said the sometimes noted conflict of faith vs academia, is easily resolved in her mind. There is no conflict.

“I am driven by my faith,” she said, “my life is in God’s hands and what I achieve comes from faith.”

Her free time is spent with family and friends which includes her Manchester Terrier “Mandie.”

“I love to take long walks, with Mandie, it’s truly relaxing,” Pringle said.

“I am immensely grateful for the support of my school, teachers, and overall community” she said about earning the academic distinction.
