Bucks Surpasses 5000 Coronavirus Cases with 4-Day Average Hoovering in Low 20’s

Over the last two days Bucks County surpassed 500o confirmed covid -19 cases bringing the county total as of Wednesday morning to 5030.

New cases reported by the Department of Health reported for Sunday, Monday (36) and Tuesday (26) averaged out to just under 21 cases per day,  which puts the county on course to achieving green level status, according to Governor Wolf’s reopening plan. 

County officials  said 17 of the new cases reported on Tuesday are still considered to be infectious. 

 A total of 477 Bucks County residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died in the pandemic. 

For the the last three days of confirmed case reporting: 

  • 23 from Household Spread 
  • 13 in Long Term Care Facilities 
  • 7 determined to be Community Spread 
  • 2 from Health Care Settings 
  • 3 from Work Contacts 
  • 19 were unable to be interviewed

Eighty-five Bucks County patients are hospitalized, 17 of them in critical condition and on ventilators. A total of 5,030 county residents have tested positive for the coronavirus, 2,070 of whom are confirmed to have recovered.
