Kamp For Kids Hosts annual “Owls For Autism” event at Lincoln Financial Field

The Bensalem based non-profit Kamp for Kids is hosting its annual “Owls for Autism” event at Lincoln Financial Field this Saturday.

300 kids & adults with Autism will get to attend this Saturday’s Temple Football game versus Cincinnati for free.

Spokeswoman for KFC Penni Moroton  said guests will get to enjoy a pre-game tailgating party where lunch will be provided. There will be  sensory-friendly activities, carnival games, face painting, and pictures with Star Wars characters too.

Guests will enjoy a tour of Lincoln Financial Field with a chance to high-five the players as they run onto the field.

We’re also running the half-time show where kids with autism will have the chance to score a touchdown at the Eagles stadium, Morton said.

Our community partners will also be on-site from Children’s Hospital Of Philadelphia’s SPARK study, the largest study ever undertaken to understand the complex genetics of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Elwyn who provide support services to children and adults with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and related behavioral health challenges. And the Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services will also be on hand.
