The National Weather Service overnight issued a winter storm warning for the Philadelphia region beginning Sunday 7 am to 6 pm Monday
Heavy is snow expected with total snow accumulations between 10 and 16 inches and winds gusting as high as 40 mph in the Philadelphia region.
Winds are expected to be gusting as high as 40 mph. The storm will make travel very difficult to impossible.
Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes, NWS says
NWS says precipitation is expected to begin on Sunday, continuing into Sunday night and Monday morning.
Precipitation diminishing by Monday afternoon. Snowfall rates could exceed 2 inches per hour
