The Bristol Borough council Monday night said it was ready to move forward with children’s soccer league beginning this fall.
Council President Ralph DiGuiseppe said officials from the recreation committee met recently to discuss plans to bring back as part of an overall recreation program for borough children,
We’ve decided to engage Mike Poploskie to start a soccer program this September, DiGuiseppe said
“Mike has the knowledge and know how to pull this off in a short period of time. He want’s to start registrations right away. And he’s also looking into running basketball in December or January. I think he’s the right guy. He knows the kids he knows the right things that have to be done, We’re working right now on pay stipend to give him, he didn’t mention money but we do want to pay as an athletic director for the borough,” DiGuiseppe said.
Popolskie has studied athletic administration and has prior athletic director experience.
“Thank you to Bristol Borough Council for approving Youth Soccer Program. If you interested in coaching please send an email or message me on here. Sign up will start in a week” Poploskie said in a Facebook post.
Registration for the Fall soccer league will begin on August 1. You can email bristolbororec@Gmail.com for additional league information.
