Bristol Supermarket Reopens after COVID Closure

A Bristol Borough Supermarket reopened its doors on Sunday after being closed for one week due to an employee testing positive for coronavirus. 

Bristol Selecto Supermarket located on 320 Pond Street opened for business again on Sunday morning. 

A spokesperson for the only supermarket within the boundaries of the borough said on Saturday, “We are very happy to say that the employee who had tested positive if doing great. We have shared all your well wishes with them. During this week everyone working here that has had contact with the employee has since been tested, and everyone has tested negative.”

It is the second time since the onset of the pandemic the market closed due to an employee contracting the virus for 10 days in April. 

“I want to send a special thank you to all of our employees who are here day in and day out during this pandemic so that we can continue to better serve the community. Thank you all and we hope to see you all soon” the statement reads.
