Pantry Seek Volunteers and Second Adds Evening Hours



One Bristol food pantry seeks volunteers and a second has added evening hours for those with day time responsibilities.
The First United Methodist Church food pantry, located on 201 Mulberry Street is seeking the support of the community in the form of volunteers for Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s. Coordinator for the pantry, Diane Jones, said.
“We really could use some volunteers to help us in the pantry,” she said “since were now moving towards opening back up on our regular schedule.”
The FUMC pantry is open on Tuesday and Wedneday’s from 10 am to 2 pm and Thursday’s from 6 to 8 pm.

In realted news, the Bristol Borough Community Action Group (BBCAG) food pantry recently added evening hours to its weekly schedule.
We are addng Wednesday evening hours from 4:30 – 6:30pm , said Cooridnator Helen Stout Fisher.
The added hours, she said, are designed to meet the needs of those working daytime hours, but still need a helping hand from a community resource to through rough patches, recently.

Both pantries support dozens of famlies in Bristol who are need of a helping hand.
