Santa Needs Help Coming to Town

Santa wants to visit Bristol and see all the kids and those young at heart. In order to do that, Santa needs help from neighbors and vendors, 

Ellen Scanella, Chair of the Christmas Parade Committee, is asking for help with in-kind donations to help the expenses of the parade, which is a tradition in Bristol for many years . It happens because of volunteers and 100% donations and fundraisers.

Within the traditional parade route, a quiet parade is planned for the handicapped. The quiet parade will be at the end in the 100 to 200 blocks of Mill Street. There will be no horns, whistles, or sirens at this section of the parade.

To put the parade together requires many to help, whether it is ways of donations, fundraising, or participation. , creating floats, The parade takes manycpeoplrThe letter continued, “We start working in early January each year to look for different bands, schools, floats, neighbors, antique vehicles, horses & carriages, etc. If your company or organization, family would like to sponsor any of those listed, or have any other ideas, please feel free to fill out participation or message the contacts below these past years have hurt us financially due to COVID. We would like to keep this tradition going for our families, neighbors, businesses, and generations that have been coming back to our town for generations to keep the traditions and memories alive!”

For monetary donations, checks are to be payable to Bristol Borough Parade, 323 Brook Street. Bristol PA 19007.

All are welcome, and it is free to join the parade.

Vendors need to call or apply on or before Saturday, November 25 10 a.m. to 12 p m. for a permit, officials said.

There are also participation forms available.

The only restriction in the letter is that you keep to the theme of the holiday and do not have a Santa because there’s only one, and the committee chooses him.

The parade is scheduled for November 25. 21 the day after Bristol holds its annual Christmas Tree lighting at the Wharf.
