“We heard our residents, and have installed sun shades at the spray park” said a press release from Bristol Township officials recently.
The local water wonderland after input from locals reopened several days later with sun shade protection over the spray pad but closed the playground nearby so the kind of overhead sun protection could be installed also.
Prior to the work commencing on both areas township officials described the work scheduled to be completed and what the new overhangs would look like.
“We are in the process of installing sun shades at the playground as well. The attached drawing as an aerial concept of what the structure will look like and cover ,” said township officials.

The original work and plan “because of the heavy equipment and large footings needed for the work, the spray park was scheduled to be closed from, May 30th through Saturday, June 1st, with it reopening 10am on Sunday, June 2nd.,”officials said across its social media platforms.
The installation of the sun blockers at the playground took slightly longer than anticipated but was completed about three days ago.
