As part of the Navy and Marine Corps 250th celebration, an event was recently hosted at Bensalem High School, where four military helicopters landed for the students, staff, and visitors to see.
On Friday, October 10, Navy and Marine Corps leadership spoke to the student body. Students and visitors had the opportunity to interact with the aviators and learn about the different types of helicopters. The Marine Corps band performed for all. This was a great event to inspire our younger generation to serve, said Bensalem Police in a social media post.
Police extended congratulations for a great job by the Bensalem School District hosting this event, and excellent coordination between police, fire, and EMS to ensure public safety.
A special thank you from Bensalem to Brigadier General Henry Dolberry, USMC, for taking the time to explain the specific role of each helicopter and introducing Mayor Joe DiGirolamo and our team to all the aviators and service members who participated, said police.
