Bensalem Township has been awarded $1 million by the Shapiro administration for a building energy project.
The funding comes from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program in which $122 is being invested in 149 projects in total statewide.
This investment reflects the Governor’s commitment to strengthening Pennsylvania communities and driving regional economic development through key cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvement projects an administration spokesperson said.
The funding will go towards replacing and expanding the administrative building’s existing roof solar panel system.
RACP projects are authorized in the Redevelopment Assistance section of a Capital Budget Itemization Act, have a regional or multi-jurisdictional impact, and generate substantial increases or maintain current levels of employment, tax revenues, or other measures of economic activity.
