National Organization for Victim Advocacy (NOVA), Bucks County’s comprehensive crime victim services agency, proudly announced that their “Funny Fundraiser” recently held at Poco’s Comedy Cabaret in Doylestown had over 60 people in attendance and raised more than $1,500 to support the organization’s mission to assist crime victims and prevent violence, including a donation from Poco’s Restaurant, representing a percentage of the profits from dining sales that evening.
The event featured the comedy of Patrick O’Donnell, who has appeared on Comedy Central, A&E’s Comedy On The Road and was a $10,000 winner on ABC’s America’s Funniest People. O’Donnell is a high-energy act, who spices up his performance with his knack for impressions. Former presidents, movie and TV stars could pop up anytime as searches for the humorous side of life. Over the years, Pat has been the co-host of a cable talk show, acted in plays, done commercials and constantly updated his act to reflect his life. He hits the stage with a smile and leaves the audience laughing.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to Poco’s Restaurant and Comedy Club for their generous hospitality in hosting this fundraiser, and to Pat O’Donnell for providing an unforgettable show in support of such a worthy cause,” said Penelope Ettinger, Executive Director, NOVA. “It gave all a chance to spend a fun evening together to benefit NOVA’s work in support of crime victims and violence prevention.”
