Updated 8 pm Oct 4th

Facebook, What’s App, and Instagram have stared to come back online beginning around 7 p.m Monday evening after being down since early this morning in a world wide outage.

The outage for some was break from the day to day drama experienced on the social medial applications owned by Facebook.

Facebook CTO Mike Schroepfer said in a Tweet earlier today experiencing networking issues and teams are working as fast as possible to debug and restore as fast as possible.

Internet security analyst Brian Krebs told CNET.com said it appears to be a DNS issue further saying ‘adding that something “caused the company to revoke key digital records that tell computers and other Internet-enabled devices how to find these destinations online.’

Facebook has yet to comment specifically on the cause of the outage, but that was not the only issue the social media giant experienced Monday, Krebs said in the CNET report.

Instagram’s platform flashed up a “couldn’t load posts” message when trying to access people’s pages, while Facebook’s newsfeed has simply  refused to load.

The channels in which users report problems to Facebook is also down, according to users posting on Twitter.
