The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Flood Watch in Effect Through Late Tonight (July 21)
Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues is possible for Lower Bucks and surrounding Pennsylvania counties. Also portions of northern Delaware and New Jersey are affected by the rains. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
According to meteorologists, showers and thunderstorms will increase today into tonight, with the most widespread activity occurring this afternoon and this evening. Some heavy showers and thunderstorms will produce torrential rainfall, with 2 to 3 inches of rain pe hour possible. The excessive rainfall within a short period of time, especially in urban areas, could lead to flash flooding.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
NWS advises you should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
