State Senator Steve Santarsiero (D-10) and Representative Perry Warren (D-31) will partner with PA CareerLink in Bucks County to host a mobile assistance event for job seekers at the Bucks County Community College Newtown Campus.
The event will be on Wednesday, July 30th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the West parking area, 51 Top Tier.
PA CareerLink is part of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry’s initiative to transform the landscape of how job seekers find family sustaining jobs and how employers find the skilled candidates that they need. The Workforce on Wheels Bus is unique to the Bucks County CareerLink office, serving as a mobile PA CareerLink bringing job search resources to job seekers across the county.
“I’m excited to partner with PA CareerLink locally to bring helpful job search services out into the community,” said Senator Santarsiero. “We are fortunate to have this amazing mobile resource, and I applaud the Bucks County Commissioners for investing in this service for the community. Whether you’re a seasoned professional looking for new opportunities in your field, an individual looking to make a career change or just someone looking to freshen up your resume and practice some interview skills, this event is for you.”
The WOW Bus offers services including resume writing, teaching interview skills, assisting with job searching, and hosting recruitment events.
Sen. Santarsiero added, “My office has worked with the WOW Bus to connect dozens of constituents to job search resources in just a few hours. I’m excited to partner with the CareerLink team again to make sure constituents of my district have access to the best resources as they move ahead in their career.”
The Help for Job Seekers Event will be on Wednesday, July 30th from 10am-2pm at the Newtown Campus of Bucks County Community College, 275 Swamp Road, Newtown in the West parking area.
