“This is the original system that was installed back in 2002 and is outdated to pass inspection for 2020. Although the system doesn’t have to be completely replaced it does need to be updated which will take more time than first thought when the problem was diagnosed,” he said.
Soprano said there is no time line as of yet for the repairs to be completed which include two phases.
The first phase, he said, is being performed will be completed by Tuesday, Jan 28th.
The second phase is expected to begin on Wednesday of next week but the alarm company performing the work has not provided a time line as of yet for when those upgrades will be completed.
On Friday morning a fleet of repair trucks were on site performing the needed work to the systems.
Soprano said two weeks he was a bit frustrated by the delays said “I apologize for this lengthy delay and I am just as disappointed as most of you are”
Adding “I appreciate your patience and hopefully we’ll have better news this time next week or at least more of a time line when the repair will be finished.”
