Council Celebrates Wade Family Matriarch’s 95th Birthday

Bristol Borough Council celebrated a long time residents 95th Birthday last week with her family at last weeks council meeting.

Bernice Wade turned 95 last week, and borough officials as new way of hailing long time borough residents celebrated her name-day by honoring her with generations of family at her side.

The announcement of the celebration brought thunderous applause from the full house of attendees.

She was born in 1926 in Whitehorse, New Jersey and grew up on Lafayette Street in Bristol.

Bernice has 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Council brought up the Wade family for the celebration prior to Council President Ralph DiGuiseppe  presenting  Wade with flowers.

Bernice we hope you can be back here to celebrate your 100th Birthday, DiGuiseppe said.

“I am very happy, thank you” the celebrant said smiling as she took in the moment.

Council and attendees then sang “Happy Birthday” to the Wade family matriarch.

Council invited anyone in the public wanting to celebrate a borough resident to let them know in order to schedule the event accordingly
