First Friday’s on the Delaware cancelled?
Not so fast says Bristol Borough Business Association officials
Rumors and discussion about potentially cancelling the very popular street festival bandied about late last week and it was noticed by many locals who look forward to street fair that takes place on Mill Street.
Brianna Hitchens, the newly elected as President of BBBA said Wednesday, no decision has been made as of yet about any of the spring/summer events the BBBA sponsors.
We want to put on the best events possible for the borough, the businesses, and the people who come them, she did say.
Hitchens said the association will be discussing event planning at their next meeting and expects to announce the associations plans afterwards.
She acknowledged seeing the discussions take place about cancelling the event, though.
The FF series was hampered by the COVID pandemic and cancelled entirely during the 2020 outdoor event season. In 2021, organizers planned to hold two First Friday events in August and September however, those plans were met with a number of challenges and only the September outing took place
A “Sunday Stroll” is being discussed as a possible replacement for First Fridays sources told LBS last week.
Hitchens reiterated the associations position that no decision have been made as of yet.
