Spad’s Scoops is a Cone in Progress

The question among locals was “when is the ice cream shop on Mill Street going to open?”

Lower Bucks Source went into fact finding gear, seeking answers from Mindy Spadaccino owner of Spad’s Scoops recently.

Spadaccino, one half of the Spad’s Scoops ownership team said there is still work to be done to get the shop prepared.

There’s still some work to do in the shop, we hope to be opening as soon as we can. We’re waiting on approvals from Bristol to start the last of the work that needs to be done in order to open, she said, but we don’t wan to rush it, Spadaccino said.

The couple, who have full time careers (he in engineering, she in the pharmaceutical industry) have been working hard to get the shop ready for its anticipated opening and want everything to be perfect for the first servings from the shop.

Bristol has been very welcoming, she said, adding we have received plenty of support from officials in preparation for our launch.

“The entire family is thrilled about Spad’s Scoops and will be involved one way or another Spadaccino said of her three children, Karsyn, Steven, and Darcy. ‘

Karsyn, will be there from opening day to help out, she said. .

I don’t want to say or project on when we’ll open, since there is a lot of work to be done yet, but like I said, we’re working on it and you can follow along on our social media pages for updates, she said.

Plus, she said, “everyday is a great day for ice cream!”

You never know, you just might see something there about adult ice cream’s, Spadaccino said with a laugh.
