Falls Welcomes New Supervisor

District Judge John Galloway administers the oath of office to Supervisor Tim Loteckie, while his wife, Amy, holds the Bible.

The Falls Township Board of Supervisors welcomed a new face during Monday night’s reorganization meeting.

District Judge John Galloway swore in Tim Loteckie, who was elected in November. Loteckie will fill the seat vacated by Jeff Boraski, who, after two six-year terms, did not seek re-election.

Loteckie and his wife, Amy, have lived in the township for 20 years. All of their six children have attended Pennsbury School District. An avid community volunteer, he has been involved with Falls Little League since 2013 and currently serves as president. He is also a board member for Falls Soccer Club.

“The Loteckie era begins,” Supervisor Chairman Jeff Dence said.

Galloway also swore in auditor Sean Murphy. Retired District Judge Jan Vislosky swore in tax collector Kimberly Scarpiello.

The five-member board unanimously reappointed Supervisors Jeff Dence as chairman for his seventh consecutive year; and Erin Mullen as vice chairperson for her third year in a row.

Brian Galloway will continue to serve as secretary/treasurer and Township Manager John Shepherd will serve as assistant secretary/treasurer.

The Falls Supervisors reappointed Michael Clarke or law firm Clarke Gallagher Barbiero Amuso & Glassman Law as township solicitor; Jones Engineering Associates as township engineer; and Remington & Vernick Engineers as its conflict and traffic engineers. The board appointed Bidlingmaier & Bidlingmaier as its conflict counsel; Campbell Durant as labor and employment counsel; Flager and Associates as land development counsel; and Hill Wallack as code appeals counsel.

The board appointed former Falls Supervisor Jeff Rocco as the vacancy board chairman.

In terms of public meetings, the Falls Supervisors will meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. and on the fourth Monday of the month at 6 p.m. For January, the board will hold only one meeting, on Jan. 26. In May the Supervisors will meet on May 12 and May 18, an altered schedule because of Memorial Day.
