Grocery Outlet in Fairless Hills is Now Hiring

Credit: Joanne Ames - LBS

Several years ago, Pathmark supermarket closed its doors in the shopping complex at 500 Lincoln Highway in Fairless Hills and now a new supermarket, Grocery Outlet (GO), is in their hiring phase and expected to open in June.

Jim Read, founder of Grocery Outlet, opened the doors in 1946 to his first military surplus store. Almost 80 years later, his store has more than 500 locations and is the nation’s largest extreme value retailer. Grocery Outlet is one of the largest opportunistic buyers of grocery items in the country, and, according officials, sell name-brand items to customers for up to 60% off conventional grocery store retail prices.

Last week, the new owner-operator, only known now as Andy, introduced himself on social media. One Facebook post in the Falls Township Uncensored group told readers of a mass hiring event coming soon.

Soon has come and the date for the mass hiring event is set for this coming Friday, May 23 and Saturday May 24. The event will be held at the store’s location from noon to 4 p.m.  Applications will be handed out on-site and on-the-spot interviews right after you apply, according to GO officials.
