The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced last week that several a Lower Bucks state highway is scheduled for resurfacing operations, under several projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia Region.
The work schedule and location are:
- Thursday, May 11, through Friday, May 26, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 332 (Yardley Newtown Road/Afton Avenue) between the Interstate 295 interchange and Route 32 (Delaware Avenue) in Lower Makefield Township and Yardley Borough for milling and paving.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these resurfacing projects, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surfaces and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.
