Morrisville Borough as part of its recent effort to improve, strengthen and attract funds from outside of the borough is revamping its roads with James D. Morrissey, Inc. launching the 2025 Road Paving Program, with completion expected by 2026.
During March’s meeting, council unanimously approved a motion to award the 2025 road paving project to James D. Morrissey, Inc. for a total amount of $1,396,334.40 for all roads included in the bid offering. The project will result in approximately 7.5 miles of roads to be resurfaced within the first and second Wards of the borough, officials said.
South Pennsylvania and Penn Avenue were part of the project’s first wave. Since S. Pennsylvania is one of the major arterials in the borough, it is taking longer to finish than other roads, with flaggers, construction workers, and paving machines hard at work. While no workers were spotted on Penn Avenue, signs and ongoing activity showed progress was underway and the work on Penn Ave looks to be completed as of Friday, June 20.]

According to the Morrisville Borough’s website, progress continues on the 2025 Road Program. The roadwork is contingent upon the weather and there may be delays on some roads. Click here for an updated paving map that reflects some changes to the roads prepared by Gilmore & Associates Inc.
