Bucks County residents are reminded that instead of dumping poisonous, flammable, corrosive and caustic household items in landfills, they should bring them to Bucks County’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events.
Held spring through fall of each year, HHW collections are a free resource for County residents to dispose safely of up to 25 gallons or 220 pounds of common, but potentially hazardous household items like pesticides, batteries and household cleaners.
Some items, including electronics, latex paint and appliances, cannot be accepted.
All collection events are scheduled for 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m., rain or shine, on the dates below:
Lower Bucks:
- April 4 – Bucks County Community College, Newtown
- July 11 – Bucks County Community College, Newtown
- August 8 – Bensalem High School, Bensalem
Other Locations:
- May 30 – Upper Bucks County Technical School, Perkasie
- October 24 – Strayer Middle School, Quakertown –

Household Hazardous Waste Collections in Bucks are sponsored by the Bucks County Commissioners and the Bucks County Planning Commission.
