Bucks Tourism Agency Awards 43 Community based Nonprofits with $279K in Grants







Visit Bucks County earlier this month, awarded the grants Bucks Visitor Center.
The Visit Bucks County (VBC) Tourism Grant initiative was crated more than 10 years ago to assist, develop and enhance community tourism initiatives.
Funds for the program come from rental taxes paid by visitors who stay overnight in hotels, bed and breakfasts and residential shares.
Grant money can be used for marketing, advertising, website design, restorations and more.
VBC has awarded $4.6 to a 110 groups since its creation.
In recognition of Commissioner Charles H. Martin’s commitment to starting the program one nonprofit will be recognized as a recipient in his honor beginning in 2020.
