Falls Parks and Recreation is Hiring for 2020

The Falls Township Parks and Recreation Department is looking to hire seasonal workers.

Positions are open for seasonal maintenance for all township parks and facilities and Lifeguards for the 2020 Pinewood Pool season.

Seasonal Maintenance Workers (4) openings. This is a temporary position that lasts no more than 6 months in duration, requires the ability to work 40 hours per week, and pays $12.00 per hour. Must be at 18 years of age, have the ability to carry out written and oral instructions, communicate effectively, be able to perform minor repairs using basic hand tools, pickup and empty trash, operate a weed trimmer to cut grass, perform strenuous labor in a safe manner (occassionally be able to lift up to 50 lbs.), successfully pass background checks (PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse, and FBI), and maintain a valid PA Driver’s License and safe driving record at all times.

Lifeguards for the Pinewood Pool. Candidates must be at least 15 years of age, have a current Lifeguard/First Aid/AED certification, be able to work anywhere between 20-40 hours per week (including weekends) starting May 23-September 7, 2020,  be comfortable working with the public, attend mandatory safety training’s throughout the summer, and enjoy working as part of a team. Starting pay for new lifeguards is $9.00 per hour. Pay rate for candidates with prior experience is negotiable.
