PennDOT to Repair & Resurface State Highway, Perform Guide Rail Repairs on U.S 1 in Lower Bucks

Penn DOT work crews will be repairing and resurfacing state roads and performing guide rail repairs in the Lower Bucks area again on beginning Monday morning. The first of these projects takes place in Morrisville Borough and Southampton Township.

  The work schedule is as follows:

  • Monday, June 22, through Friday, June 26, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, lane restrictions are scheduled on West Trenton Avenue between Pine Grove Road and Delmorr Avenue in Morrisville Borough for paving operations;
  • Monday June 22, through Friday, June 26, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 32 (Bridge Street) between Business U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway) and Delmorr Avenue in Morrisville Borough for milling and paving operations;
  • Monday, June 22, through Friday, June 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Bustleton Pike between Bristol Road & Valley Hill Trail in Southampton Township for high friction surface treatment. 

The second project scheduled in both directions on U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway) between the Neshaminy and Route 213 (Maple Avenue) interchanges in Bensalem and Middletown townships, and Langhorne Manor Borough runs from  Monday, June 22, through Friday, June 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. 

Work on this project will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the jobsite, special signage and relevant training.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
