What’s Closed on Independence Day

Independence Day July 4th is a federal holiday and falls on Friday, and with that several will experience a 3-day holiday weekend as businesses and government agencies close until the next week.

All municipal, county and state offices are closed Friday and will reopen for business on Monday

SEPTA service will operate on a Sunday schedule – adding late-night service for July 4 celebrations.

There is No U.S Mail Delivery.

Many parks and recreational areas will likely be open to the public but some are scheduled for July 4 events such as Washington Crossing and Memorial (Quakertown area) Park.

Banks will be closed but digital banking services will remain available.

FedEx Delivery Service is closed according to their website. Locations may have modified hours, with some office locations closed. Please contact your local FedEx Office location for details.

All Government Offices are closed and that includes Local (Borough and Township), State, County and Federal.

Post Offices are closed but if you need stamps or drop mail, although there are postage kiosks and  drop-off mailboxes in some lobbies that may be available.

UPS Delivery Service is closed according to their website. UPS Stores may have modified hours, with some office locations closed. Please contact your local UPS Office location for details.
