Bensalem Police Investigating Assault at Beer & Soda Store

Bensalem Police are investigating an assault that took place overnight, authorities said Wednesday afternoon.

Motorists took notice of police activity and crime scene tape around the perimeter of Bensalem Beer & Soda located on the 1900 block of Street Road mid-morning.

A post on a popular Bensalem focused social media page where commenters speculated on the police activity detailed  they saw a number of Bensalem Police in the parking lot of the popular beverage store appearing to collect evidence.

Sgt Detective Glenn Vandergrift confirmed the investigation just about one hours ago.

“We can confirm that Bensalem Police are investigating an assault that occurred overnight at that location.  Press release to follow later today,” he said.

On Monday night Bensalem Council honored the business  for playing a key role in identifying and capturing  a homicide suspect in the killing of  Chiropractor James Sowa on November 2, 2020.

A online review of arrests made by Bensalem Police over the last 20 hours reveals no individuals charged with assault related offenses
