Bath St Hit-and-Run Driver Charged

The man who struck a bicyclist on Bath Street earlier this Fall has been charged by Bristol Borough Police.

Joseph Tepper, 58 of Levittown was charged with a misdemeanor count of accidents involving death or personal injury and a reckless driving charge according to online court records.

On September 14  Tepper was allegedly operating a red utility when he struck the bike rider subsequently fleeing the scene of the accident that occurred feet away from Bristol Borough District Court.

The red truck was later found in Bristol Township.

Tepper is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on December 28 at Bristol Borough District Court.

The bicyclist was taken to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital. Police said he was released days later in stable condition.
