Just In: Man Arrested in Spring St. Shooting from last Year, Cops Say.

Bristol Borough Police announced Wednesday the arrest of a man in connection to a shooting incident that took place last year on Spring Street at the Dutchess Estates Apartment Complex.
Police say, a warrant has been issued for Jason Ford, 36 of Trenton on attempted homicide and related offenses connected to the shooting on Thanksgiving eve.
Detective Bill Davis obtained a criminal warrant for Ford in April of 2020. Bristol Borough Police received information that Ford may have been staying in a hotel in New Jersey. The Lawrence Township Police Department conducted surveillance on the hotel in question. Lawrence Township Police located Ford, and after a brief foot pursuit he was taken into custody.
Ford is facing additional charges in New Jersey. Ford is currently in the Mercer County Jail. He will be extradited to Bucks County to face Attempted Criminal Homicide charges, says a release from the department.
Multiple sources with knowledge of the shooting, told Lower Bucks Source in January the incident occurred after a drug deal went sideways. The sources alleged the male victim who was shot in the leg, was “setup.” Chief of Police Steve Henry declined to confirm or deny that information at the time,
Bristol Borough Police said they found the male victim, after being dispatched for an EMS call on the 900 block of Spring St, in the vicinity of Jefferson Avenue.
As of publication time there is no additional information available about the suspect in the online county court system. This story will be updated as additional information becomes available.
