Bristol Borough officers responded to shots fired call on the 300 block of Lafayette Street at 8:31 p.m. yesterday evening. This was an isolated incident at a specific location. No one was injured during the incident, said Bristol Boro Police Chief Joe Moors.

A Bristol Borough home owner reportedly fired gunshots at an intruder attempting to break into the home late Thursday.
Bristol Borough Police have yet to confirm the circumstances surrounding what exactly took place last night on the 300 Block of Lafayette Street. The eyes and ears within blocks of the incident said that at approximately 8:15 several gunshots were heard being fired coming from that block.
Bristol Borough Police arrived on scene minutes later cordoning off the immediate adjacent areas and around Lafayette St.
Bristol Borough Police officers were seen placing evidence markers, apparently for bullet casings, at the front door entrance way to the Lafayette St. residence.

Many of details about the incident remain a mystery, with Detective William Davis heading up the investigation.

Bristol Borough resident Eric Sokalski, said on Meta, an intruder was shot by the homeowner trying to break into the Lafayette St. home.
This information has yet to be confirmed by the police.

Chief of Police Joe Moors told Lower Bucks Source staff member Joe Nelson at 9:15 p.m. that whatever was going on had ended and there was no threat to community safety.
It’s over with. There is no threat to the neighborhood. Just so you guys know, Moors said.
Online court records show no arrests were logged and no arraignments scheduled involving the Bristol Borough Police Department.
Attempts to reach Moors for comment were not immediately returned as of publication time.
