Dianna Gray, 49, of Levittown was arraigned last Tuesday night on a felony count of child endangerment and lesser degree charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, and harassment by on-call District Judge Daniel Baranoski who set bail as unsecured and subsequently released her as she is accused of flying into a drunken rage threatening to kill her children.
According to court records, the arrest was made based on a community tip child welfare officials forwarded to Bristol Township authorities in November of last year. The tip was connected to a late October incident in the Red Cedar section of Levittown where child abuse was alleged.
The referral led to a forensic interview conducted, on 11/21/2024 at the Child Advocacy Center, with a teenage child of Gray, court records show.
The teen (JV1) told investigators that he and other minor siblings do not feel safe at home because they have been punched in the past by their mother (Gray). The alleged victim explained to authorities that their mother has a problem with alcohol and when she consumes alcohol she threatens to fight people in the home.
Gray, the victim said, had threatened to kill them in their sleep with a knife.
Further said, their mother argued with another resident in their home. They came downstairs and Gray made a fist with her hand and punched them in the stomach. She looked at them and smiled. JV1 explained they felt like they were wheezing and had difficulty breathing due to being struck in the stomach, the victim told investigators .
That same day, the victim said, Gray grabbed what was described as a pocket knife, She attempted to take the knife part out but another resident removed the knife from her. This is when Gray looked at the victim and allegedly said she would kill them in their sleep.
Gray is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Terrence Hughes scheduled on March 25, 2025 to answer to the charges.
No special conditions were noted in court records or in the probable cause regarding the children involved or whether or not they have been placed with family or child welfare officials for safety purposes.
It is the third child endangerment case filed in recent weeks by authorities in Lower Bucks County.
