With the hopes of continuing to move forward in 2025, Morrisville Borough launched a new website for its residents.
Originally announced on the Borough’s Facebook page in mid-January and later at the Council meeting on January 21, the new website is live but still a work in progress as information is transferred from the previous site, officials said, resulting in the older website still operating presently.
Each has its own site address – with the revamped site at www.morrisvilleboro.org
Morrisville officials at September’s council meeting said the technology and website were being upgraded.
“The technology in the borough is in the midst of being updated, all the servers, all the emails, all the computer software and that should probably be done by October sometime so that will make the lives easier of both the police department and people in the borough hall. The website is also in the process of being updated and should be much easier for the residents to go through and find the information.” Some of the additions are ‘How Do I’ and ‘Did You Know’ and it’ll be a reference section for the residents. That should be done sometime in October, said Council President Helen Hlahol.

Noticeable changes:
- Streamlined Design: Primary categories are more streamlined than the previous site allowing to easily find the information and services you need with improved menu organization and faster search functions.
- The Citizen Reporter which allows residents to make requests for service and report community issues is now on its own and is located in the upper right corner of the site.
Hlahol asked residents to be patient while the site is still in development and expressed her hopes for its completion as soon as possible.
It is the second municipal overhaul announced in recent months.
Bristol Township announced their reimagined website last November and the new site went live, as announced, on January 30.
It remains unclear as to the costs involved for the new website and who performed the work. An online review of borough documents and records shows work on a brand new website was mentioned at a September Council meeting. Both of the borough’s websites, currently operating simultaneously, show there is no Information Technology Department within the administrative organizational chart.
Lower Bucks Source contacted Hlahol Wednesday evening seeking the cost and the name(s) of the entities who performed the website overhaul. She has yet to respond in the 24 hours since the communication was sent.
