Real Mail-In Ballot Box Placed in Borough Hall and Locations Throughout Lower Bucks Co

Without the drama of last weeks “mock” mail in ballot drop box drama, the real drop box opened to voters in the Bristol Borough Municipal Building on Monday.
With two county board of election employees supported by two over- head security cameras voters can now begin to drop off mail-in ballots, weekdays from 8 am to 4:30 pm, voters can now drop off completed ballots until 8 p.m. Tuesday November 2, Election Day.
The two woman watching over the ballot box, said, if something looked suspicious or someone lingered near the ballot box too long, election officials would call them to insure everything was ok.
Drop boxes were also placed in Bensalem at the library located at 3700 Humeville Road, the Levittown Government Services Building 7321, New Falls Road, Levittown, and the Yardley- Lower Makefield Township Library, 1080 Edgewood Road, Yardley as well as other locations throughout Bucks County.
Last week, a “woman” who was scheduled to work as a per diem employee for the elections placed a fake ballot box at the Bristol Borough Hall site.
Elections officials seized the ballot box last Wednesday after being informed it was placed there. Officials said that six voters dropped off completed ballots in the fake box, which were confiscated by officials and segregated.
The Bucks County District Attorney’s office declined to prosecute the woman, based upon their findings there was no criminal intent involved.
Bristol Borough Council approved hosting a mail in ballot drop box at the suggestion of Bucks County Commissioner Bob Harvie, who also serves as the Chair of the county election board.
