Cops: ‘Twisted Prank’ Woman Arrested, Jailed



Margaret Cirko, 35 yrs of Hanover was arraigned at 1 p.m. today on two felony counts of terrorist threats, one felony count of threats to use a”biological agent”, and one felony count of criminal mischief authorities said in a press release.
District Justice Joseph Halesey set bail at 10 percent of $50,000 and she was sent to Luzerne County Correctional Facility with a preliminary hearing scheduled for April 8, according to online court documents.
Police were called to the business after Cirko entered the store making verbal threats that she was sick while intentionally coughing and spitting saliva/bile on produce/meat/merchandise police said. Cirko continued her behavior in several aisles before attempting to steal a 12 pack of beer as she was being ordered to leave the store by employees, Hanover Township Police said.
WNEP captured the woman’s arraignment done outside due to COVID-19 concerns while she sat in a police vehicle.
Police officials said in a press release Cirko will be taken to the hospital for coronavirus testing and a behavioral health evaluation.
